The Opportunity... The Airside Designer will play a key role in understanding, evaluating, and crafting project designs for visual aids and their associated civil and electrical infrastructure at airports. The Airside Designer’s activities take place during bidding and project realization phases. This includes adherence to international standards (ICAO) and client specifications. The role involves producing technical documentation and drawings, including technical specifications, design reports, and detailed layout plans, based on a comprehensive knowledge of ADB Safegate and third-party products and systems. The Airside Designer will prove to be competent, reliable and fully able to present, defend and discuss the design & consulting services with the customers. The Airside Designer will also assist in maintaining and improving the department’s calculation tools, procedures and libraries. You will make an impact.... <ul style="margin-bottom:1.0px;margin-top:4.0px"> <li>Engage with airports and airports engineering firms, offering technical advice and attending relevant events.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Participate in airfield engineering projects developed by multidisciplinary teams ensuring they meet quality standards, deadlines and budget constraints.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Accurately estimate the time required to complete own and assigned tasks, setting realistic deadlines and ensuring they are met.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Perform essential airside engineering calculations such as electrical power calculations (CCR sizing, LV voltage drop, single line diagram), airfield lighting calculations (PAPI, aiming point, approach lighting) and heat dissipation etc.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Create and review airfield layout drawings (airfield lighting, signs, marking, ducts, pits and cabling), installation detail drawings (adapted to the specific project requirements), electrical wiring schematic drawings as well as fit-out drawings (manholes, duct banks and pits).</li> <li class="BulletedList">Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, presenting and defending the airfield design project deliverables with clarity and confidence. </li> <li class="BulletedList">Prepare airside infrastructure bills of quantities for bidding (pricing) and for execution (realization).</li> <li class="BulletedList">Create and review AVDGS top view, side view and front view installation drawings.</li> <li class="BulletedList">During bidding stages, prepare quotation documents for airfield design engineering services (excluding the cost estimations).</li> <li class="BulletedList">Provide technical support during the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance phases of airside infrastructure projects.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Follow the Department’s Autodesk CAD and Vault procedures ensuring that all files created, received or submitted are correctly stored and set-up.</li> </ul> The talent we want to inspire has... <ul style="margin-bottom:1.0px;margin-top:4.0px"> <li class="BulletedList">Creative, dedicated, and open-minded with a team-oriented approach.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively in a multicultural setting.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Result and quality oriented.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Knowledge and understanding of airfield project design processes.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar </li> <li class="BulletedList">Computer Aided Design training</li> <li class="BulletedList">Proven professional experience in airfield infrastructure, preferably with a specific focus on visual aids.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Practical experience in the use of AutoCAD.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Experience working in teams.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Proficient in AutoCAD 2018 or higher, with a strong background in Microsoft Office Applications</li> <li class="BulletedList">Familiarity with Autodesk Vault, REVIT, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous.</li> <li class="BulletedList">Proficient in AutoCAD 2018 or higher, with a strong background in Microsoft Office Applications</li> <li class="BulletedList">Familiarity with Autodesk Vault, REVIT, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous.</li> </ul> What's on offer We value you and your contribution in the business.
