This position is responsible for providing accounting guidance and support in developing, analyzing and maintaining the company's financial reporting systems in the following areas: General Ledger and Accounts Receivable Accounting.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>You will make an impact by...</strong></p> <ul> <li>Completing month-end processes in Finance and Controlling modules of SAP. Activities to include adjusting journal entries, accruals, payroll as needed/required, cost center review, project accounting, financial statement analysis, preparation of month end balancing and journal entries for affiliate trading partners.</li> <li>Preparing monthly and quarterly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.</li> <li>Completing Intercompany Account Reconciliations and consolidation reporting.</li> <li>Preparing US and Canadian Sales Tax filings and account reconciliations.</li> <li>Preparing various ad hoc analyses and reports.</li> <li>Assisting with budget/forecast activities and annual financial audit preparations.</li> <li>Adhering to all relevant administrative requirements, policies and procedures and respect confidentiality of data.</li> <li>Maintaining and processing entries in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS and completes other related duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>The talent we want to inspire has...</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or similar degree and 4-6 years in a position as a staff accountant or combination of education and experience; years in a position as a staff accountant or equivalent </li> <li>Demonstrated a solid knowledge of principles in the field of accounting and successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures in the field of accounting and business. </li> <li>Strong reconciliation skills using only data and Excel</li> <li>Strong verbal and written skills along with good interpersonal and organizational skills</li> <li>Strong Excel skills </li> <li>SAP experience highly preferred</li> <li>Manufacturing and cost accounting experience a plus </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What's on offer</strong></p> <p>We value you and your contribution in the business.
