At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL. </span></span><br> </p> <p>We are presently looking for a <strong>Metrology Technician</strong> to perform a wide range of measurements on production parts, both in-process and as final QA. The Metrology Technician will use interferometry to perform a wide range of measurements on production parts, both in-process and as final QA. </p> <p> </p> <p>Main Responsibilities:</p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Experienced in Optical and Laser-based testing</li> <li>Familiar with the setup of the more complex measurements</li> <li>Lower power laser measurements, including transmission and reflection of optical coatings</li> <li>Laser Damage Testing</li> <li>Calorimeter</li> <li>Alexometer</li> <li>Coating Profiler (13102)</li> <li>Ringdown</li> <li>Maintain and troubleshoot basic metrology equipment.</li> <li>Assist metrology lab users on test and measurement techniques and processes.</li> <li>Train a level I technician on more difficult measurements</li> <li>Maintain and troubleshoot basic metrology equipment</li> <li>Assist metrology lab users on test and measurement techniques and processes.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>High School Diploma Required or relevant work experience</li> <li>Associate's degree in physics, chemistry or a technical discipline preferred.</li> <li>Minimum 2 years of optical metrology experience desired.</li> <li>Self-directed, with the ability to identify and act on issues without supervision.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Benefits start day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, PAID Maternity/Paternity leave, Tuition Reimbursement, Long-term and Short-term disability.</p> <p>Pay Range: $23.00 - $29.64 per hour, depending on experience.</p> <p> </p> <p>Our facility in Boulder, Colorado, has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines.
