At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL. XWe are looking for a Process Engineer or Process Scientist to support the fabrication of microelectronic devices on III-V materials. You will work closely with product owners to develop, optimize and control manufacturing processes, while leading continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Comply with and promote workplace health and safety measures;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide technical support for the fabrication processes of III-V laser emitters and photodiodes;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Actively participate in troubleshooting process-related issues and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Contribute to continuous improvement by applying and promoting the Six Sigma methodology in all activities;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develop, maintain and optimize automated process control mechanisms;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Participate in the development, qualification and transfer of processes to production;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Design, plan and carry out experimental studies to improve or develop manufacturing processes;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Communicate results through reports, presentations, and team discussions;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Establish and meet project timelines;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Train and support production personnel;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Comply with the documentation system, change-management process, quality policy, and new product introduction process;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Participate in the selection, acquisition, and qualification of new equipment;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain an active technological watch on relevant fabrication processes and equipment;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain a clean, organized and compliant work environment (including cleanroom standards);</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform other related tasks, as needed.</li> </ul> Your qualifications: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Bachelor's degree in engineering (physics, electrical, chemical), physics or chemistry;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">A master’s degree or additional relevant experience (an asset);</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">At least 1 year of experience in microelectronic device fabrication processes;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge of microfabrication processes (photolithography, metrology, wet etching, plasma etching, diffusion, CVD deposition, metallization, optical coatings, etc.);</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge of electro-optical characterization methods;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge of automatic laser‑bar stacking processes, pick‑and‑place equipment, or facet‑forming techniques (scribing/breaking) (an asset);</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology and of statistical process control (green belt certification, an asset);</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience in project management (asset);</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong organizational skills, rigor and ability to work effectively in a team environment;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proficiency in French (spoken and written) to operate in a francophone work environment;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Excellent skills in English (spoken and written) for technical and international communications.</li> </ul>X Our hiring criteria meets the requirements of the OLF.
