At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL. </span></span><br> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">We are presently seeking a <strong>Senior Fabrication Process Engineer</strong> who will sustain and improve fabrication processes for the successful execution of production optics manufacturing.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Main Responsibilities</span></strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Serve as a technical subject matter expert for optical component fabrication processes.</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Create and improve documentation for the manufacturing of optical components.</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide hands-on engineering support and train technicians on fabrication process execution.</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Monitor and drive improvement of production fabrication processes and equipment using SPC.</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Support troubleshooting of existing fabrication processes.</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Review, disposition, and reduce non-conforming material.</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist in the transfer of optical fabrication process technologies from R&D to production.</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Identify, justify, and qualify new equipment into production.</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform other duties as assigned.</span></p> </li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Requirements</span></strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p style="text-align:left"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Physics, Optics, etc.)</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p style="text-align:left"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">10+ years of optical component fabrication experience desirable.</span></p> </li> <li style="text-align:left;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD software desirable.</span></p> </li> <li style="text-align:left;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proficiency with SPC desirable.</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <p style="text-align:left"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience with optical alignment and bonding desirable.</span></p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 6.0pt;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Benefits start day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Holiday Pay, PAID Maternity/Paternity leave, Tuition Reimbursement, Long-term and Short-term disability.</span></p> <p style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 6.0pt;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Pay Range: $105,000 -
