At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL. </span></span><br> </p> <p>We are presently seeking a <strong>Fabrication Technician</strong> that will perform various optical fabrication processes including but not limited to beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and inspection/measurements.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Available shifts include:</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li><strong>Monday - Thursday, 2nd Shift</strong></li> <li><strong>Sunday - Wednesday, 2nd Shift</strong></li> <li><strong>Wednesday - Saturday, 2nd Shift</strong></li> <li><strong>Weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun), 12hr daylight</strong></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Main responsibilities:</p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Performs basic shaping process steps on simple to medium-difficult parts. </li> <li>Beveling - cup and straight line</li> <li>Blocking - standard (multiple parts on the same block) wax blocking, which includes the ability to choose the correct type of tooling</li> <li>Edging - standard edging tasks up to .001 tolerance</li> <li>Milling - standard milling tasks</li> <li>Sawing – KLE cut-off type operations</li> <li>Grinding – to include continuous and double side</li> <li>May assist with pouring lap</li> <li>Inspects and cleans parts</li> <li>Basic reading and comprehension of work instructions and prints for basic dimensions</li> <li>Mathematics - Using basic mathematics to calculate…..</li> <li>Measurement skills include: calipers, drop gauges, micrometers, comparators, measuring microscope (Z scope), spherometer</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>High School Diploma or GED preferred.</li> <li>Basic Math skills</li> <li>Teamwork – the ability to work effectively and contribute to a team</li> <li>No previous experience required</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Benefits start day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, PAID Maternity/Paternity leave, Tuition Reimbursement, Long-term and Short-term disability</p> <p>Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.</p> <p> </p> <p>Our facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines.
