About this role
<p><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Main responsibilities:</span></strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Manage product margins to ensure they remain within budget.</li> <li>Handle the RFQ process and respond with pricing strategies and lead-time information in a timely manner.</li> <li>Prepare quotes for products and services in collaboration with Business Development, R&D, and Operations teams, aiming to achieve market-appropriate prices in a competitive environment.</li> <li>Ensure cash call targets are achieved, especially for FAT/NPI projects, and recommend corrective actions when forecasts deviate from AOP numbers.</li> <li>Implement and monitor cost-saving programs, follow up on cost-down roadmaps, and communicate results in an appropriate framework (e.g., open costing) to customers in collaboration with Business Development teams.</li> <li>Communicate effectively with Business Development and Product Management teams globally to ensure customer support and monitor business prospects professionally.</li> <li>Conduct customer visits in conjunction with local Business Development and/or Product Managers.</li> <li>Provide direction and support to project and product management teams, including:<br>a. Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.<br>b. Leading crisis management efforts to resolve issues as quickly as possible.<br>c. Motivating teams to meet requirements, even under sudden changes.<br>d. Monitoring project development to ensure it stays on track and making necessary adjustments for success.</li> <li>Monitor, prepare, and provide timely project summaries as required by management or customers.</li> <li>Conduct project closure meetings to review results and lessons learned.</li> <li>Facilitate product and technology transfer from customers or other sites to Operations.</li> <li>Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.</li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Requirements:</span></strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">More than 3 years of relevant experience in Product/Project Management, demonstrating practical ability to operate in a complex environment and lead in a change-driven business.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge of Product and Project Management, preferably with expertise in optics and/or opto-mechanical modules.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Skills to operate effectively in a constantly evolving environment with high performance targets.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong bias for action and results; able to drive self and others to deliver on commitments within cross-functional teams.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong internal and external customer orientation, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and other business units in an international, multicultural environment.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p>
