<p>Role Summary:</p> <p>In order to enhance the Suzhou R&D center performance and competence on new product development & innovation, to develop new product based on customer needs, gurantee the design quality and deliver the result according to committment.</p> <p>Main Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li>Conduct research to understand existing technologies, market trends, and customer needs. Brainstorm and conceptualize new ideas, features, or improvements.</li> <li>Create detailed designs, specifications, and prototypes. Collaborate with other engineers to develop and refine product<br>components.</li> <li>Perform rigorous testing, simulations, and validation to ensure product reliability and performance. Troubleshoot issues and iterate on designs.</li> <li>Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, test results, and project progress. Present findings and progress reports to stakeholders.</li> <li>Work closely with cross functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and quality assurance. Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non technical audiences.</li> <li>Stay updated on industry advancements, attend conferences, and participate in training. Seek opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.</li> </ol> <p>Education and Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Minimum 10 years working experience in R&D function and at least 3 years in medical industry, executed complete new product development process, certain project management & change management experience;<br>Be experienced with surgical instruments development, such as ultrasonic scalpel, stapler, robotic surgical instruments, and endoscopic instruments. </p> <p> </p> </li> <li> <p> Solid mechanical design capability with proficiency in 3D modeling software (CATIA is preferred) and expertise in mechanism design, GD&T.</p> <p> </p> </li> <li> <p>Proven experience in transmission mechanism design, familiar with common machining process, familiar with properties and applications of common metal and plastic materials, understand the related medical standards;</p> <p> </p> </li> <li> <p>Good to have knowledges with international norms and standards for surgical instruments;</p> </li> <li> <p>Good communication skills, innovative, analytical thinking, conceptual skills;</p> </li> <li> <p>Self-management with hands-on mentality, openness and courage to try something new;</p> </li> <li> <p>Good written skill of English with fluent oral English speaking in professional terminology</p> </li> </ol>
