<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Position Summary:</b></H2> </div><div><p>Responsible for cost optimization activities relating to the support of the Procurement and Purchasing Division in an automotive manufacturing environment.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Essential Functions:</b></H2> </div><div><p>Support cost optimization projects and activities as defined by the Cost Optimization Committee by:</p> <p>‐ Serving as HMMA CO CFT team leader for assigned part groups.</p> <p>‐ Project implementation tracking vs. target and reporting.</p> <p>‐ Working collaboratively with the Parts Development team.</p> <p>‐ Gathering part detail from suppliers.</p> <p>‐ Ensuring accuracy of cost savings amounts reported to PMO.</p> <p>‐ Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance.</p> <p>Work closely with HMNA cost team to drive all beneficial cost opportunities to implementation.</p> <p>Work directly with suppliers to identify all feasible cost optimization opportunities.</p> <p>Manage calendarized schedule of savings opportunities.</p> <p>Identify and pursue cost reduction strategies by engaging suppliers and HATCHI R&D team.</p> <p>Evaluate part designs with engineering, quality, and suppliers to obtain optimum efficiencies.</p> <p>Solicit cost reduction opportunities from internal HMMA process partners.</p> <p>Participate in all CO related internal/external meetings, including making presentations to and preparing information for senior management at HMMA and</p> <p>HMNA.</p> <p>Maintain COMS system cost and tracking status accurately.</p> <p>Work closely with buyers to gain access to the latest required information.</p> <p>Support part localization activities.</p> <p>Support purchasing management team data request gathering, summary, and reporting as needed.</p> <p>Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management</p> <p>System (SMS) requirements.</p> <p>Meet all other requirements as assigned.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Education:</b></H2> </div><div><p>Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or business discipline or equivalent preferred</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Related Experience:</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>0 – 10 years of job-related experience </li> <li>1 - 3 years of engineering/cost/ efficiency improvement related experience preferred </li> <li>Process improvement experience preferred </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Training / Certification:</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Six Sigma exposure preferred</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Skills / Knowledge:</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>MS Word</li> <li>MS Excel</li> <li>MS PowerPoint</li> <li>Data management and analysis</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills</li> <li>Excellent project management and interpersonal skills </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Additional Information:</b></H2> </div><div><p>Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign).
