This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial records and reporting while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">This position applies advanced accounting knowledge and people-management expertise to effectively lead the department and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, vendors, banks, and Hyundai subsidiaries and affiliates.</span></li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> Lead the monthly close process and oversee the preparation of internal and external financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance through review of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and quarterly reserve analyses.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Oversee quarter-end and year-end audit processes and internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) activities, coordinating with external auditors, affiliates, and the Korean parent company, and managing requests for information from external and regulatory stakeholders.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Establish and maintain general accounting policies and procedures, and lead research, evaluation, and implementation of technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with applicable standards and company policies.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide leadership and development for the General Accounting team while partnering with the Controller to support management and parent-company inquiries, decision-making, and cross-functional initiatives.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> Design enhancements for general ledger, accounts payable, fixed asset and payroll systems to accommodate long-term corporate objectives and/or changes in company policies and procedures and to improve processing, accuracy and information relevancy. Coordinate testing and implementation of system enhancements.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> Oversee the retail and wholesale vehicle incentive accruals and lease residual exposure provisions on a monthly/quarterly basis; provide assurance of adequacy through various analytical processes (variance to forecast reporting, etc.).</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> Exercise governance over the payroll and accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing, compliance with statutory and company requirements, and effective controls over payments and reporting. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> <div>Plan and organize external information requests; review and approve departmental expenses, reports, purchases, spending, travel, and perform other assigned duties.</div> </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Must be a high school graduate.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Bachelor’s degree, Accounting or Finance preferred.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Master’s degree a plus.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">At lease ten years of experience of which at least seven years of directly related experience in general accounting.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Three to five years of supervisory experience desired.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Public accounting (audit) experience preferred.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong knowledge and experience in technical accounting and governance.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Good verbal and written communication skills.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to articulate issues, research complex matters and present findings/recommendations.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience with financial systems.
