Working in coordination with the Executive Directorate of Police Services and other capabilities of the Organization is equally fundamental to this role. In addition to overseeing capacity building, strategic partnerships, project activities and other deliverables related to the Sub-Directorate, the incumbent will oversee the following:</span></p> <ol> <li style="color:black;font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">CBRNE &amp; VT operations support and coordination in order to maintain the implementation of CT’s Global Crime Programme and to support INTERPOL’s membership in their intelligence, operational and investigative activities pertaining to preventing and responding to the nefarious use of CBRNE materials and their threat to VT. </span></li> <li style="color:black;font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">CBRNE &amp; VT strategy and outreach to support the implementation of CT’s Global Crime Programme and both the objectives and given priorities therein.</span></li> <li style="color:black;font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">CBRNE &amp; VT capacity and capability development, being the strategic driver to identify the necessary skills, knowledge and technical requirements according to member countries needs and in line with best practice standards.4</span></li> <li style="color:black;font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Design and develop programmes and projects of work that support (1), (2) and (3) above and the main objectives of CT’s Global Crime Programme.5</span></li> <li style="color:black;font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Maintain a contemporary understanding and knowledge of the CBRNE &amp; VT Sub-Directorate so that the teams of the Sub-Directorate will: (a) through well-led and managed plans and projects, provide quality, up-to-date advice on CBRNE &amp; VT strategic, operational support matters and maintain an in-depth knowledge covering a wide range of current and emerging CBRNE &amp; VT threats; (2) deliver capacity building, training and investigative support to INTERPOL’s member countries on specific CBRNE &amp; VT crime areas; (3) drive strategic, operational and administrative services for member country national and regional counter terrorism activities as required.</span></p> <p><span style="color:black;font-size:12.0pt"><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">DUTY 2: Mission 2</span></strong></span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Initiate, coordinate and ensure the Sub-Directorate will, in a timely manner: (a) identifying existing and emerging CBRNE &amp; VT related issues; (b) providing recommendations as part of a programmatic approach through projects, activities and missions for the Sub-Directorate to be undertaken and propose them to the Law Enforcement community for support and funding; (c) ensuring projects are in line with the Organization’s and Directorate’s strategic priorities; (d) and providing regular status reports of the Sub-Directorate’s activities for the Director and regular reporting on project outcomes to the Executive Directors or Secretary General. </span></p> <p><span style="color:black;font-size:12.0pt"><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">DUTY 3: Mission 3</span></strong></span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Develop and maintain effective contacts and networks with other Sub-Directorates and Directorates of the General Secretariat, including leading or participating (as an expert in a field) in Working Groups, Regional Bureaus, National Central Bureaus and other fora;
