This role<br>develops and executes sales strategies focused on new account penetration, share of wallet expansion,<br>and long-term customer partnerships with winery customers.<br>With a comprehensive winery portfolio, the position sells our entire equipment range such as presses, full<br>turnkey bottling lines including fillers, corkers/cappers, labelers, capsulers and dry-end automation as<br>well as our dry goods products including Diam corks, screw caps, glass bottles, and kegs. Working<br>closely with winery production teams, operations leaders, winemakers, and ownership groups, the Senior<br>Sales Manager evaluates winery workflows and recommends integrated packaging and equipment<br>solutions that improve operational efficiency, production performance, and packaging quality.</p> <p><br>Essential Functions<br>This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict<br>the tasks that may be assigned.<br>• Own and manage sales performance for the Central Coast and Southern California territory.<br>• Drive revenue growth through both new winery account acquisition and expansion of existing<br>customer relationships.<br>• Achieve assigned sales quotas and territory growth objectives.<br>• Conduct winery site visits and operational assessments to understand production requirements.<br>• Develop and deliver technical sales presentations, proposals, and equipment demonstrations.<br>• Serve as a trusted advisor to winery production teams by providing solutions to bottling,<br>processing, and packaging challenges.<br>• Develop and strengthen relationships with winery owners, operations leaders, winemakers, and<br>procurement teams.<br>• Maintain strong partnerships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.<br>• Represent the company as an industry ambassador to prospective clients.<br>• Identify and develop opportunities to cross-sell additional company products and services.<br>• Partner with internal teams including engineering, operations, customer service, logistics, and<br>technical services to support sales activity.<br>• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management through CRM systems.<br>• Analyze market conditions, competitive activity, and customer demand to support territory<br>planning.<br>• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and strategic account plans.</p> <p><br>Supervisory Responsibilities<br>• May mentor or provide guidance to peers, distributors, or indirect team members as needed.<br>Responsibilities may include supporting training, knowledge sharing, and collaborative sales<br>initiatives.</p> <p><br>Qualifications<br>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable<br>accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p><br>Minimum Qualifications<br>• Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience selling packaging products, winery equipment, or<br>related industrial products reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus<br>7 years of relevant G3 sales experience; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency<br>certification plus 12 years of industry sales experience in packaging, winery equipment, beverage<br>production equipment, or related products; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency<br>certification plus 11 years of industry sales experience in packaging, winery equipment, beverage<br>production equipment, or related products.<br>• Required to travel 35–50% of the time.<br>• Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required<br>to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.<br>• Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate<br>level.<br>• Demonstrated experience in consultative B2B sales within the wine, beverage, packaging, or<br>processing industries.<br>• Experience selling integrated bottling or processing systems.<br>• Experience working with production or operations teams.<br>• Ability to manage complex sales cycles, particularly capital equipment projects.</p> <p><br>Preferred Qualifications<br>• Bachelor&apos;s degree plus 10 years of sales experience in winery equipment, packaging, or beverage<br>production systems.<br>• Winemaking experience and/or prior experience as a Winemaker or Bottling Manager.<br>• Deep knowledge of winery production processes including crushing, pressing, fermentation,<br>bottling, and packaging.<br>• Experience presenting complex technical solutions to winery ownership and executive leadership.<br>• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.</p> <p><br>Physical Demands<br>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to<br>successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
