<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Job Summary/Overview</b></H2> </div><div><p>This position requires a person to perform set ups and operate CNC equipment to manufacture metal parts from raw material in a team based environment. Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerical control machining centers to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to specifications by performing the following duties:</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Interprets complicated drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done.</li> <li>Read and understand blue prints.</li> <li>Performs diversified operations on numerical control machining centers.</li> <li>Performs a variety of milling, drilling, boring, or related operations to close and interrelated tolerances.</li> <li>Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine machining sequence and dimensions of finished workpiece.</li> <li>Attaches fixture to machine bed and positions and secures workpiece in fixture according to setup instructions.</li> <li>Selects and installs cutting tools in machine spindle or magazine.</li> <li>Loads control media, such as disk, tape, or punch card, in machine control console or enters commands to retrieve preprogrammed machine instructions from database.</li> <li>Manipulates controls and enters commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and to start machine.</li> <li>Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.</li> <li>Changes cutting tools and location of workpiece during machining process as specified in setup instructions.</li> <li>Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications.</li> <li>Measures workpiece for conformance to specifications.</li> <li>Notifies supervisor of discrepancies.</li> <li>Utilizes override control to correct conditions that are out of tolerance or operating unusually.</li> <li>Adjusts machine feed and speed and changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions.</li> <li>Machines materials other than metal, such as composites, plastic, and rubber.</li> <li>Cleans machine, tooling, and parts.</li> <li>Performs machine maintenance.</li> <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities</b></H2> </div><div><p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</li> <li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</li> <li>While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand.</li> <li>The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.</li> <li>The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.</li> <li>The employee must be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.</li> <li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.</li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Required Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div></div></div></div>
