It is our mission to create a workplace where people feel supported, encouraged, valued, and respected.</span></span></p><p> </p> <p>Job Summary:<br>Reporting to the Basecoat Supervisor, The Basecoat Machine Operator will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and other finishes to moulded wood products using specialized machinery. </p> <p><br>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<br>• Operate basecoat application machinery to apply finishes to moulded wood products.<br>• Ensure proper setup and calibration of machinery for optimal performance.<br>• Monitor the application process to maintain quality standards and consistency.<br>• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation.<br>• Conduct quality checks on finished products and make adjustments as needed.<br>• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.<br>• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and troubleshoot issues.<br>• Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p> </p> <p>Requirements:<br>• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in woodworking or related field preferred.<br>• Previous experience operating basecoat or finishing machinery is a plus.<br>• Knowledge of various paint and stain types, application techniques, and safety practices.<br>• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for long periods during a shift.<br>• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including temperature-controlled environments.</p> <p> </p> <p>Additional Skills:<br>• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.<br>• Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment.<br>• Effective time management and organizational skills.<br>• The ability to read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks.<br>• Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, e.g. safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as required by specific jobs.<br>• High level attention to detail.</p> <p> </p> <p>Physical Demands:<br>This position occasionally requires long hours and occasional weekend work.
