Since 1954, Woodgrain is proud to be family owned and operated.Salary: Non -Exempt Position Summary: This Forklift Operator would be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials to and from production lines and warehouse, loading and unloading delivery trucks. Duties & Responsibilities: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Transport material safely with forklift</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Ensure proper packaging and labeling procedures are followed</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Perform inventory transactions with handheld device when moving material</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Ensure proper placement of materials on trucks in order to prevent damage.</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Print materials for delivery drivers from Computer</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Proper PPE Usage while performing all job duties.</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Ensure accuracy and quality of all deliverables.</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Perform basic shipping functions in SAP</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Assist with other production functions as needed.</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul> This individual should exemplify the company values of Integrity, Servant Leadership, Respect for People, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Focus. Qualifications: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">A minimum of two (2) or more years of forklift operator experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably with unloading/loading of delivery vehicles.</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment.</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Effective time management and organizational skills.</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">The ability to successfully use a computer without assistance to complete assigned tasks</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">The ability to read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, e.g. safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as required by specific jobs</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment</li> <li style="font-family:'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif">High level attention to detail.</li> </ul> This position reports directly to the Shift Supervisor. No supervisory responsibility. Physical Demands and Work Environment: This person is expected to perform work in the manufacturing floor/environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. This is a full-time position.
