We are seeking a detail-oriented inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections of space flight components and assemblies. This individual may also be responsible for performing tests, analyses and/or audits of complex products or processes to include microelectronics, optical components, mechanical components, test equipment and fully integrated systems to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Essential Functions:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions to determine inspection criteria<br>• Document inspection results accurately and clearly; complete final inspection reports as needed<br>• Maintain company quality inspection plans, procedures, and documentation<br>• Support and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance the quality system<br>• Conduct audits of applicable production products and record results<br>• Perform quality audit functions across all manufacturing products<br>• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to communicate quality issues and support root cause investigations<br>• Contribute to the development and improvement of inspection procedures and protocols<br>• Ensure compliance with safety regulations; maintain a clean and organized work area<br>• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration status is current<br>• Ability to obtain US Government security clearance</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Qualifications:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience</span></p> <p><br><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Preferred Additional Skills:</span></strong></p> <p><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise, accurate inspections</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Proficiency with mechanical inspection equipment and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Strong communication skills, including clear documentation, technical writing, and presentation abilities</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Experience working in cleanroom or controlled environments</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Familiarity with SPC and other quality improvement methodologies; knowledge of NASA Standards, IPC certifications, and GD&amp;T preferred</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and travel for source inspections or program support as needed</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $49,500-$91,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
