This position will perform a variety of operations related to the assembly and integration of complex electromechanical spaceflight components. The role involves working directly with engineers on the design and development of new and existing products to optimize designs for manufacturability.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Essential Functions:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Perform optical alignment work in a manufacturing and/or prototyping environment</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Ability to work with fragile and precise assemblies</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Must be proficient with measuring tools (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Willingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, holidays, and some travel</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Ability to obtain US Government security clearance</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Qualifications:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Preferred Additional Skills:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Experience in an electrical, mechanical, or optical fabrication discipline</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Aerospace or defense industry experience</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Experience with measurement and analysis</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Proficient in cable and harness fabrication, as well as component soldering</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Experience with one or more of the following: optical interferometry, MTF testing, lens bench testing, resolution testing</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Willingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, and some travel</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $54,500-$101,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
