This role will focus on mechanical assembly, machining, and production readiness to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and repeatable manufacturing operations.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including design engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to transition products from development into production, support rate increases, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the factory floor.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></span></p> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Assemble electrical components and subassemblies using common hand tools and basic power tools.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, parts lists, and standard operating procedures.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Install brackets, panels, fasteners, mounts, cable supports, and other hardware according to specifications.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Perform electrical fitting, alignment, and basic adjustment of system components to ensure proper assembly and function.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Verify parts and materials before installation to ensure correct part numbers, quantities, and configuration.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Use measuring devices such as tape measures, rulers, calipers, and torque tools to meet assembly and tolerance requirements.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Safely handle components, assemblies, and palletized structures during build operations.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Support integration of mechanical assemblies with electrical and cable-routing elements as directed.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Inspect completed work for quality, completeness, and workmanship; identify and report discrepancies, defects, or damaged parts.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Maintain accurate production and assembly records, including checklists and completion documentation.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Follow established safety procedures, PPE requirements, and tool-control practices at all times.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S or similar housekeeping standards.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Assist with packaging, pallet preparation, labeling, and movement of completed assemblies when required.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Work closely with team leads, quality personnel, and engineering support to resolve basic assembly issues.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve assembly efficiency, quality, and consistency.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Perform other related assembly duties as assigned in support of production goals</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Minimum 2-5 years ’experience assembling electro/mechanical hardware</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Must have good knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Must possess good to excellent assembly blueprint reading skills.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Must be able to read and understand both written and verbal instructions in English.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Must have good understanding of hardware requirements.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><strong>Preferred Additional Skills:</strong></span></p> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly methods, techniques, and shop practices.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Familiarity with common hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring devices used in assembly operations.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, and parts lists.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Knowledge of standard fastening methods, hardware identification, and component installation practices.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Awareness of quality standards, workmanship requirements, and inspection processes.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Understanding of workplace safety procedures, proper tool usage, PPE requirements, and safe material handling practices.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Familiarity with production flow, work order processes, and assembly documentation</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><strong><u>(Work Environment and Physical Demands)</u></strong></span></p> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Work performed in a hands-on production setting and requires working around assembly benches, tools, test equipment, production hardware, and other manufacturing personnel</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Up to 10% travel required</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Ability to stand for extended periods, use hand and power tools, handle small parts and wiring, and follow detailed work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
