In this role, you will execute assigned tasks with accuracy and timeliness as an individual contributor while collaborating effectively within a low volume, high precision manufacturing environment. You will work closely with engineering teams to support the fabrication and integration of optical, mechanical, composite, and electronic components. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail in hardware handling and traceability, and hands on experience in similar technical roles. Strong problem solving abilities, effective communication, and teamwork skills are essential. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to advanced technology development and precision manufacturing within L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Essential Functions:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Perform work in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Ability to work with fragile and precise assemblies</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Assist with identifying problems and suggesting solutions</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Work with a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Must be proficient with measuring tools (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Willingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, holidays and some travel</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Qualifications:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; Or, 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Preferred Additional Skills:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical discipline</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Aerospace or Defense industry experience</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Experience with CMM and/or Laser Tracker measurement tools</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Experience with shop equipment including but not limited to Mills, Lathes, Grinders, and precision measuring equipment</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Lean Manufacturing practices</span></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $45,000-$84,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
