This position supports the GEODSS program’s Optical Sites located in New Mexico, Hawaii, & the Indian Ocean Territories and will be required to travel to site up to a total of 50% of the year. The Field Engineer responsibilities will include routine maintenance, conducting or leading site visits, monitoring schedules, approving designs, evaluating environmental impact, mitigating risk, ensuring compliance, drafting reports, running field operations, analyzing data, overseeing equipment maintenance, job planning, troubleshooting, and supporting overall project objectives of the program. This role directly supports sustainment, Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM), Emergency/Urgent Depot Level Maintenance (EDLM/UDLM), and Engineering Assistance (EA)/Technical Assistance (TA) efforts in accordance with contract requirements.
