Support Engineering department in the development of new products, tools, and fixtures.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Perform conventional and CNC machining, milling, lathe turning, cutting, grinding, and related tasks to fabricate mechanical parts per engineering designs.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Modify many different modifications of COTS components/connectors/materials using machine shop tools/dies, etc.… to .001” precision</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Provide technical input and engage in technical interchange with mechanical engineers on the mechanical design, prototyping, development and assembly of products.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Work from Blueprints, sketches, or Computer Aided Design (CAD) files.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Craft precision tools that are used to cut, shape, and form metal and other materials.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Demonstrates superior quality, accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures, while maintaining a commitment to a high standard of safety; comply with all safety laws as well as company safety policies and procedures.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Interfacing with and work effectively with multiple cross functional groups including but not limited to design engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, procurement, and manufacturing personnel.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Provides basic support functions on behalf of facilities department on an as needed basis</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Minimum 5 years’ experience in setup and operation of CNC and hand milling machines, lathes, and other shop tools.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><strong>Preferred Additional Skills:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Inspection of parts using various measuring equipment including Micrometers, Calipers and using a CMM Coordinate Measuring Machine.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Ability to read, fully understand and interpret mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings designed to ASME 14.5M-1994 standard for complex, tight tolerance mechanical parts and assemblies</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Working knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Self-starter, high energy, results-oriented and ability to multi-task.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Excellent cross-functional teamwork, coordination and communication skills, both verbal and written.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong><em> </em></strong></p>
