This role is responsible for leading all technical activities related to display evaluation, calibration, image-quality analysis, and exploitation-environment readiness for GEOINT workstations used across customer sites.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">This position helps ensure the use and maintenance of trusted, specification-compliant, calibrated displays for mission-critical intelligence exploitation. The role includes advancing analytical methods, conducting laboratory and field testing, managing display vendor engagements, and supporting sustainment training at customer sites.</span></p> <p><br><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Essential Functions:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Lead display evaluation and characterization activities, including test plan development, scientific measurements, performance analysis, and requirements assessments.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Serve as technical authority for display calibration, image-science measurement techniques, and exploitation-environment best practices, guiding internal teams and customer stakeholders.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Develop new test methodologies, calibration, and analysis workflows to assess emerging display technologies and support future display modernization.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Collaborate with software developers to drive enhancements to analytical tools and software used for calibration workflows, measurement automation, and reporting capabilities</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Provide technical direction to multidisciplinary team comprised of software, hardware, test, and field-engineers.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Lead root-cause investigations of display or image-quality anomalies observed anywhere within the sensor-to-analyst chain, providing scientifically grounded findings and corrective recommendations.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Provide technical representation during customer briefings, technical interchange meetings, and site-support reviews.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Act as technical liaison to display manufacturers, obtaining prototype hardware and coordinating evaluation activities.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Approximately 15% Travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations for calibration and display-quality training and technical support.</span></p> <p><br><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Qualifications:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a strong understanding of display calibration fundamentals, color-science mathematics, and luminance/chromaticity measurement, as well as demonstrated expertise in image quality, electro-optical systems, display metrology, or related imaging-science disciplines.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• 5 years of experience with analytical software tools (IDL, ENVI, MATLAB, Python, or similar).</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Must be able to obtain TS/SCI security clearance</span></p> <p><br><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Preferred Additional Skills:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Prior experience supporting GEOINT or ISR exploitation workflows, or similar intelligence mission areas.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Experience with display-calibration software architectures including 1D/3D LUT workflows, profiling, and pattern sequences.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Familiarity with Java software development or equivalent languages used in calibration tools.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Strong vendor-engagement experience</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Knowledge of system-level imaging chains processes including collection, processing, dissemination, display, and exploitation.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Hands-on experience with display testing instruments (e.g., colorimeters, spectroradiometers, pattern generators).</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting complex technical content to others.</span><br><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">• 2 years of experience interpreting and applying NGA Display Performance Standards, MISB standards, or equivalent specifications.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $92,500 - $171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
