<p> </p> <p><em><span style=""><strong>Job Title: Non Destructive Testing Film X-ray Level 2 Technician</strong></span></em></p> <p><em><span style=""><strong>Job Code: 37465</strong></span></em></p> <p><em><span style=""><strong>Job Location: Carlstadt, New Jersey</strong></span></em></p> <p><em><span style=""><strong>Job Schedule: <span style="">2nd Shift</span> 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off</strong></span></em></p> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Job Description: </strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="">L3Harris is seeking an experienced Film Radiographic Testing Level 2 Inspector to process, interpret and evaluate materials, parts and weldments for compliance with required specifications and standards.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Essential Functions: </strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Read and interpret information from work instruction documents, drawings and specifications, inspection procedures, material review reports and other source documents, and follow instructions the procedures and requirements needed to perform radiographic inspection of material, parts and weldments.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Perform X-ray level 2 tasks in accordance to work instructions from approved general procedures &amp; techniques.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Set up and operate industrial x-ray equipment. Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Detect and identify indications affecting quality and safety factors such as cracks, inclusions, cavities, undercuts, incomplete fusion and porosity, etc.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Determine and disposition (accept or reject) items based on NDT results.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Record test results, findings and dispositions manually or with the aid of a computer or computer based system.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Coordinate recurring defects with concerned with supervisor and quality engineer personnel, and if required recommend corrective action measures.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Test and pass NAS 410 Level II certification in house.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Able to pass vision test requirements.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">High School Diploma or GED.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">A minimum of 800 hours experience in industrial X-ray experience inspecting aerospace components.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Previously certification as an X-ray Level 2 to specification ASNT or NAS410.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Have a basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Computer experience to include accessing on-line documents and information, working within the company business systems and Microsoft office.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style=""><strong> </strong></span></p> <p><span style=""><strong>Preferred Additional Skills:</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Experience in other NDT methods such as Fluorescent penetrant Inspection</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Experience in digital Industrial X-ray also preferred but not required.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Proficiency using precision measuring tools.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Knowledge and experience of aerospace manufacturing processes and materials.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Good communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Strong problem solving and ability to create manual approaches to measuring.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">When required, ability to work in a fast pace environment to meet deadlines.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style=""><em> </em></span></p> <p><span style=""><em>In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the state of New Jersey is $18.50/hr - $59.13/hr.
