<p><strong>Job Title: Assembly Wireperson</strong></p> <p><strong>Job Code: UN062E</strong></p> <p><strong>Job Location:</strong><strong> Camden, NJ</strong><strong> </strong></p> <p>Under general direction of supervisor, perform a variety of operations to wire and assemble all types of switchgear, switchboard panels and associated components.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Mount, align and secure electrical and mechanical apparatus and electrical devices required on individual jobs. </li> <li>Trace circuits on wiring diagrams. </li> <li>Count wires and plan packs and locations. </li> <li>Use specified size and type of wire, solid color or color-coded; apply identification number bands and tags as required. </li> <li>Cut wires to length.</li> <li>Perform mechanical or automated crimping operations and submit samples as required. </li> <li>Make mechanical, lugged, or soldered connections. </li> <li>Apply clips and wire cleats. </li> <li>Check out circuits and make continuity tests. </li> <li>Cut and install conduit. </li> <li>Apply insulation and tape up connection as required. </li> <li>Prepare material report showing size and quantity of wire used, number of cleats, lugs, connectors, etc. </li> <li>Type any additional wire markers. </li> <li>Instruct other employees as necessary. </li> <li>Observe all safety regulations.</li> <li>Bolt performed parts to welded frame.</li> <li>Perform torquing operations as required.</li> <li>Check work for operation, clearances and completeness. </li> <li>If necessary, make alterations involving drilling, tapping and filing. </li> <li>Attach any required labels to units. </li> <li>Bolt units to skid or pallet.</li> <li>Use ladders and lifts when needed.</li> <li>Use a variety of measuring equipment for various operations such as tape measures, scales and rulers.</li> <li>Use of various types of chemicals and epoxies.</li> <li>Layout and mount equipment; if necessary, use portable power tools, drill press, band saw, belt sander, fixtures and measurement devices where required. </li> <li>Clean equipment for shipment. </li> <li>Touch-up all paint, using spray paint or brush. </li> <li>Follow established routings, procedures, bills of material, assembly and wiring details and verbal directions. </li> <li>Clean work area. </li> <li>Do routine maintenance work when required.</li> <li>Work with customer representatives and engineering when needed.</li> <li>Refer all unusual conditions to supervisor.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be a US Citizen.</li> <li>Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.</li> </ul> <p>In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range is $27.66. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
