As a Graphic Designer at Financial Horizons, you oversee the strategic planning and creation of a large variety of digital and print content across the company. What you will do <ul> <li>Strategically plan and execute digital and print designs from project launch to completion, working with stakeholders across the business.</li> <li>Ensure all designs follow established brand standards.</li> <li>Provide design support for a range of marketing communications including: social media, digital advertising, websites, video storyboards, e-newsletters, brochures, ads, magazines, posters, banners, signage, presentation material, trade show graphics, videos, and branding.</li> <li>Assist in the design and production of professional presentations using PowerPoint.</li> <li>Proofreading and quality assurance.</li> <li>Meet and communicate with other departments to understand their design needs.</li> <li>Remain aware of design and financial industry trends to ensure creative solutions are relevant and reflective of the Financial Horizons brand.</li> <li>Collaborate with colleagues on the Marketing & Communication team, as well as partners throughout the company.</li> <li>Collaborate with print and promotional vendors when necessary to see projects through to completion.</li> <li>Play an active role in developing our in-house capabilities. For example: proactive creation of design system assets and updating of templates.</li> <li>Other design related tasks and projects, as assigned. </li> </ul> What you will bring <ul> <li>3+ years professional experience as a graphic designer.</li> <li>Post-secondary education in graphic design.</li> <li>Portfolio demonstrating strong design principles, adherence to brand standards, while displaying strategic and creative execution on project work.</li> <li>Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop</li> <li>Basic understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects</li> <li>Premiere Pro and After Effects a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Knowledge in print production – must be able to build print-ready files.</li> <li>Knowledge in digital best practices including accessibility standards.</li> <li>Knowledge in setting up and maintaining design files for team collaboration.</li> <li>Experience in the financial services or insurance industry is an asset.</li> <li>Keen sense of detail</li> <li>Time management skills</li> <li>Interpersonal skills</li> <li>Communication skills – oral and written</li> <li>Creativity</li> <li>Proactive and resourceful</li> <li>Strategic</li> <li>Adaptable</li> </ul>- The base salary for this position is between $53,500 - $80,200 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
