<p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Manages the development and implementation of Quality Control function to insure that VACCO Products meet specifications and contractual agreements.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Formulate and maintain quality assurance/control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Monitor and improve as necessary receiving inspection cycle time.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Interpret quality assurance/control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Oversee receipt inspection activities and in-process inspection for product throughout production cycle providing necessary manpower.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Manage workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products. </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Work with vendors and Supplier Quality Manager to insure the quality of all purchased parts for company use.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Play active role in assuring quality of all purchased parts for company use by responding to requests from Purchasing personnel for on-site source inspection when deemed necessary.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Design and implement quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Investigate and respond to customer rejections or complaints with regard to quality control.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Directly supervises employees in the Quality Control Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Direct knowledge or experience with Six Sigma training, strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Negotiation expertise is preferred. Proficiency in all MS office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Strong analytical skills and writing skills are required. Hands on experience involving product verification, using standard MTE and completion of first article inspections.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: </strong></p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline. A minimum of six (6) years of quality related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience including a minimum of four (4) years of Management experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <p style="margin:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Directly supervises employees in the Quality Control Department. Essentially a normal controlled working environment with noise levels within acceptable safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions. On occasion may be required to enter production area where the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and/or fumes or airborne particles.
