<p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Assembles pneumatic and hydraulic valves, partially or completely, and conducts a variety of tests on systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to acceptance procedures or to determine cause of unit failure by performing the following duties.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:</span></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Conducts high pressure and cryogenic testing safely.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Working from blueprints assembles and tests various valves and filters within allotted timeframe and insures conformance with assembly performance tests specifications.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Working from blueprints, work orders, quality control test manuals, performance specifications, schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Calibrates test instruments according to specifications.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Analyzes test results related to the design and test objectives, modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Records these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data and recommendations for changes in product or test method.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Compares results with specifications and documents test data.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Assembles various quiet disc stacks.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Analyzes test results on defective units to determine cause of failure.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Verifies dimensions of mechanical parts using hand-held measuring equipment such as micrometers, indicators and depth mikes.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Verifies dimensions of mechanical parts using hand-held measuring equipment.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Knowledge of chem etching (markings), tube bending and how to clean parts in pre-clean.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Ability to operate and maintain equipment such as Instron machines, AstroMed and mass spectrometer.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, quality control personnel and others regarding testing procedures and results to resolve problems.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Capable of operating airborne and structure borne noise measurement equipment.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong> </span></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Possess interpersonal skills required to build relationships and work in a team environment.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Possess good leadership skills.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Good communication skills both verbal and written.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Ability to use good judgment in decision making and problem solving.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Ability to read and interpret blueprint and schematic drawings.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Working knowledge of standard test equipment i.e. data recorders, pressure transducers and gauges, flow measuring devices, environmental chambers, thermo-coupling, and helium leak detectors.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Proficiency in the use of MS software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt">Basic knowledge of plant operations and processes.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18.0pt"><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</strong> Two year certificate from college or technical school; with three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or a High School Diploma or GED Certificate and five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.</span></p>
