May also be responsible for supervising activities performed by a product development or specialist team.</p><p><u><b>Solutions Analysis</b></u></p><p>Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.</p><p><u><b>Innovation Implementation and Pipeline Management</b></u></p><p>Execute development plan for a new product or service, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating to project stakeholders.</p><p><u><b>Innovation Strategy, Pipeline and Roadmap</b></u></p><p>Provide the means (e.g., research, ideas, solutions) to prototype innovation business cases with the potential to shape the innovation strategy, pipeline, and road map.</p><p><u><b>Business Case Contribution</b></u></p><p>Contribute to developing business cases to quantify current costs, justify project investment, and identify the return on investment.</p><p><u><b>Portfolio Management</b></u></p><p>Plan and deliver small projects or workstreams using an appropriate project management methodology to give assurance that intended outcomes are achieved.</p><p><u><b>Intellectual Property (IP) Protection</b></u></p><p>Contribute to the management and filing of Intellectual Property applications for patents to protect the team's research work.</p><p><u><b>Culture of Innovation</b></u></p><p>Promote a culture of innovation by creating solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration, such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons.</p><p><u><b>Personal Capability Building</b></u></p><p>Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
