This role leads Barton Malow's self-performed concrete scopes, including formwork, reinforcement, and placement, ensuring safe, high-quality, and productive execution while maintaining alignment with project budget, schedule, and contractual requirements.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The Project Manager (Self-Perform) will spend the majority of their time on-site, directly responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing Barton Malow craft personnel, field supervision, and resources. This position requires strong leadership, technical construction knowledge, and a proactive commitment to safety and quality.<br><br></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Lead Barton Malow's self-performed concrete activities, ensuring work is installed, inspected, and documented safely and in compliance with specifications, drawings, and quality standards.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Plan, coordinate, and manage the daily activities of craft labor, field supervision, and support staff, including manpower loading, equipment needs, productivity tracking, and placement sequencing.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Manage project budgets for self-perform work, including cost tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and support for internal estimating efforts.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of concrete materials, formwork, tools, and equipment; review submittals including mix designs for design compliance.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Support project controls, scheduling, and reporting, including progress, cost, and manpower updates, as well as turnover and closeout documentation.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to field supervisors, foremen, and craft personnel.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Work with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure expectations and contractual requirements are satisfied.<br><br></span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, with relevant concrete, structural, or industrial project experience.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">8-10 years of relevant construction experience, with direct experience managing self-performed concrete work.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong knowledge of concrete means and methods, formwork, reinforcement, placement, finishing, and curing — plus productivity tracking and field execution.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proven experience leading field teams, craft labor, and construction supervision.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.</span></li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Willingness to travel as required, with the expectation of spending the majority of time on-site.</span></li> </ul>
