This individual must be open to travel and commit to working on the project site at least five days a week. The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for assisting with managing the successful completion of assigned projects in collaboration with the on-site project staff. The Assistant Superintendent will also assist with job site safety, quality control, and project scheduling. This role involves evaluating project performance, assessing site conditions, ensuring compliance with scopes, and effectively managing trade partners to achieve project goals.</span></span></span></span></p> <p><br><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'"><span style="color:#00263a"><strong><span style="color:#00273c">KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></strong></span></span></span></p> <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="color:#00273c"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'">Assists in developing work scopes and front-end documents for bidding to ensure clarity, participates in the bid process, including post-bid interviews and addressing bidder questions, and identifies potential contractors based on project requirements.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="color:#00273c"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'">Enforces corporate safety policies on the job site, including pre-task safety planning, and is responsible for safety compliance in the field.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="color:#00273c"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'">Organizes and manages the day-to-day on-site labor force, supervising and coordinating contractor work to minimize interference.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="color:#00273c"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'">Supports the Project Manager in budget management and forecasting by controlling costs and monitoring potential changes from contractors.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="color:#00273c"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'">Develops site logistics plans to maximize productivity and minimize impacts on building occupants.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="color:#00273c"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'">Establishes and implements the project baseline schedule, incorporating input from subcontractors and considering factors that could impact timing.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="color:#00273c"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'">Leads pull planning efforts and provides progress reports with a six-week look-ahead schedule to the Project Managers and field staff.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="color:#00273c"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'">Communicate daily issues, events, performance, and progress to the Project Managers while building effective relationships with clients, team members, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.</span></span></span></li> </ul> <p><br><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'"><span style="color:#00263a"><strong><span style="color:#00273c">REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</span></strong></span></span></span></p> <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'"><span style="color:#00263a">Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'"><span style="color:#00263a">3+ years of documented Mission Critical – Data Center experience from inception to completion.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'"><span style="color:#00263a">Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a strong understanding of applicable contracts and legal provisions.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'"><span style="color:#00263a">Ability to manage and embrace change, adapting to new processes and perspectives on traditional challenges.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'"><span style="color:#00263a">Capable of multitasking and handling competing priorities between project delivery and the non-critical review of incomplete assignments while maintaining excellent customer relationships.</span></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:'URW DIN'"><span style="color:#00263a">Possesses a strong sense of urgency and the ability to quickly assess and resolve complex issues effectively and fairly.</span></span></span></li> </ul><p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:10.0pt">Barton Malow is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.</span></p>
