<p style="text-align:center"><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>REGIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY COORDINATOR</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job Location: </strong>Miami, FL (Hybrid)</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p> <p>The Regional Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Regional Health & Safety Manager in the delivery and coordination of key health and safety activities and for acting as a point of contact for health and safety administration and operational support within the Region.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p> <p>This role will play an important role in supporting the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of health and safety standards across The Americas region. It involves coordinating on-site Health & Safety audits, documenting findings, tracking corrective actions, and supporting schools to maintain compliance with safety protocols.</p> <p>This role will also support Health & Safety self-assessments, fire safety, and emergency preparedness activities, providing accurate data for monthly Health & Safety reporting and assisting with the delivery and coordination of Health & Safety training for school staff.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be highly organized and proactive, contributing to the promotion of a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors across the region.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>1. Health & Safety Audit Coordination</strong><br>• Support the Regional Health & Safety Manager in coordinating on-site Health & Safety audits across the school campuses in The Americas.<br>• Assist in identifying and documenting potential safety hazards, risks, and compliance gaps.<br>• Support the preparation of audit reports and coordinate the assignment and follow-up of corrective actions with schools.</p> <p><strong>2. Data Monitoring & Reporting</strong><br>• Track and monitor records of Health & Safety activities across schools in The Americas, including self-assessment checks, fire drills, evacuation exercises, and other safety protocols.<br>• Gather and analyze data to support monthly Health & Safety reports, highlighting key trends, recurring issues, and achievements.</p> <p><strong>3. Training Coordination & Awareness</strong><br>• Support in the coordination and delivery of Health & Safety training sessions for school staff, ensuring they understand safety procedures, risk assessments, and emergency protocols.<br>• Keep training materials up-to-date and relevant to specific safety needs across the region.</p> <p><strong>4. SPHERA Health & Safety Management System Support</strong><br>• Guide and assist staff with the use of SPHERA, ensuring they can access, record, and follow up on Health & Safety requirements.<br>• Troubleshoot user issues, provide system support, and recommend improvements to the system’s functionality.</p> <p><strong>5. SPHERA Task Tracking & Follow-Up</strong><br>• Assign and track Health & Safety corrective actions on SPHERA to ensure that all risks identified in audits are effectively addressed and resolved.<br>• Ensure that schools maintain compliance with local and organizational Health & Safety standards.</p> <p><strong>6. Emergency Preparedness Support</strong><br>• Collaborate with school teams to conduct and document fire drills, emergency response exercises, lockdown, and crisis management plans.<br>• Support schools in developing and maintaining emergency response plans tailored to their specific environment and risks.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong><br>• Certifications in Health & Safety management (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH) are desirable.<br>• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably within a school or multi-site environment.<br>• Working knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.<br>• Experience in preparing and presenting Health & Safety reports and administrative processes.</p> <p style="margin:0.0in;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif"> </p> <p style="margin:0.0in;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif"><strong>Skills & Competencies</strong></p> <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in"> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Good written and verbal communication skills in English.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Experience using Health & Safety management systems (e.g., SPHERA) and MS Office.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Ability to coordinate multiple activities across different locations.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Proactive and collaborative approach.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Willingness to travel across the region as required.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Ability to work effectively within an international environment.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Spanish and Portuguese, desired.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Working Conditions</strong><br>• This role will require travel to school locations within the region and may occasionally require flexibility in working hours to support emergency situations.</p><div></div>
