<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><div><strong>We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Lab Technician to join our team!</strong><br>In this role, you will work closely with students aged 11 to 16, supporting engaging hands-on activities and helping create a dynamic learning environment.</div> <div> </div> <div>This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with young people, and thrives in an interactive, international setting.</div> <h3><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Teacher & Student Support</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with science teachers to plan and support practical activities, ensuring efficient use of materials and equipment.</p> </li> <li> <p>Prepare, update, and improve practical resources (worksheets, instructions, safety guidelines).</p> </li> <li> <p>Demonstrate laboratory techniques and provide guidance on safe use of chemicals and equipment.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support students during experiments and projects, ensuring adherence to safety procedures.</p> </li> <li> <p>Prepare materials, set up and test experiments in advance, and assist during lessons.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain accurate documentation and assist with the organization and assessment of practical work.</p> </li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Laboratory Management & Operations</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Prepare reagents, materials, and equipment in a timely manner to ensure smooth delivery of practical lessons.</p> </li> <li> <p>Conduct trial runs of new experiments to ensure reliability and effectiveness.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain laboratories and preparation rooms in a clean, safe, and organized condition.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals and biological waste in line with regulations.</p> </li> <li> <p>Clean, maintain, and check equipment regularly; arrange repairs when needed.</p> </li> <li> <p>Keep an up-to-date inventory of equipment, materials, and safety data (MSDS).</p> </li> <li> <p>Monitor and maintain stock levels, placing orders as required.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure all safety equipment is regularly inspected and functioning correctly.</p> </li> <li> <p>Report hazards or safety concerns promptly to the Head of Science.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support care and maintenance of any laboratory plants or animals, where applicable.</p> </li> <li> <p>Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the science department budget.</p> </li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Professional Responsibilities</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Contribute to the wider life of the school (events, meetings, open days, trips).</p> </li> <li> <p>Support extracurricular activities and school initiatives.</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in professional development opportunities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and monitor departmental expenditure.</p> </li> <li> <p>Carry out additional duties as required by the Head of Science or Faculty Leader.</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Salary range: €21.000 - €23.000 gross per year</p></div></div></div>
