In this role, you will oversee daily shop floor activities, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality output, and on-time delivery of machined components that support critical medical device manufacturing.</p> <p> </p> <p>You’ll play a key leadership role in developing team members, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and optimizing production processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical leader with CNC expertise who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about operational excellence.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Shift:</strong> Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM<br><strong>Work Environment:</strong> On-site manufacturing environment</p> <hr> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead and develop machining teams, including supervision of hourly staff and Team Leads, while driving engagement and performance</li> <li>Coordinate production schedules, prioritize work orders, and ensure smooth workflow to meet delivery timelines</li> <li>Oversee CNC machining operations, including setup support, troubleshooting, and resolving downtime issues</li> <li>Monitor KPIs, conduct production reviews, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and output</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Kaizen activities, to enhance quality and reduce waste</li> <li>Ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, and quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety</li> </ul> <hr> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>What You Bring</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent practical experience)</li> <li>3–5 years of supervisory experience in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment</li> <li>Strong knowledge of CNC screw machines, setup, offsets, and program editing</li> <li>Proven leadership skills with experience in employee development and performance management</li> <li>Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities</li> <li>Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in regulated industries such as medical device or aerospace manufacturing</li> <li>Familiarity with production systems and ERP tools</li> <li>Background in scaling operations or supporting production growth</li> </ul> <hr> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>What Will Make You Successful</strong></h2> <ul> <li>A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate teams and drive accountability</li> <li>Strong technical aptitude with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and process improvement</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment</li> <li>Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement</li> <li>Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze KPIs and implement effective solutions</li> </ul> <hr> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>Why KARL STORZ?</strong></h2> <p>Join KARL STORZ and be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
