In this highly technical, field-based position, you’ll install, configure, and deploy advanced audio-visual and network-integrated OR systems within hospitals across the U.S. and beyond.</p> <p> </p> <p>Working alongside a skilled deployment team, you’ll take a hands-on approach to building and implementing complex medical systems, ensuring every installation meets rigorous quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, travel-intensive environment and enjoys working with AV, cabling, and networked technologies in real-world healthcare settings.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Locations:</strong> DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Nashville, Atlanta, Detroit<br><strong>Travel:</strong> Up to 70–80% (Monday–Friday most weeks; occasional weekends)<br><strong>Territory:</strong> U.S. with potential travel to Canada and Mexico</p> <hr> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Install and deploy integrated OR systems, including AV and network-based technologies, within hospital environments</li> <li>Perform hands-on cabling, equipment mounting, termination, and system configuration according to standards</li> <li>Collaborate with deployment teams and Site Leads to execute project plans and meet timelines and SLAs</li> <li>Configure software and support system integration while ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety, and quality protocols</li> <li>Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, providing a professional experience in clinical settings</li> <li>Utilize mobile tools and systems to document work, submit reports, and manage project-related activities</li> </ul> <hr> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>What You Bring</strong></h2> <ul> <li>3–5 years of experience in AV, cabling, networking, medical devices, or related technical field roles</li> <li>High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>Hands-on experience with cable pulling/termination and AV or network-based systems</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and mobile tools/applications</li> <li>Strong communication skills with a customer-focused, professional approach</li> <li>Ability to travel extensively and adapt to changing environments and priorities</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience working in hospital or integrated OR environments</li> <li>Ability to perform fiber, coax, CAT5/6, or multi-conductor cable terminations</li> <li>Experience mounting AV equipment and interpreting technical schematics</li> <li>Familiarity with control systems, network devices, or video systems</li> </ul> <hr> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>What Will Make You Successful</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Strong technical aptitude and a hands-on, problem-solving mindset</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in team-based deployment environments under tight timelines</li> <li>Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, travel-heavy roles</li> <li>Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering exceptional customer experiences</li> <li>A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges</li> </ul> <hr> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>Why KARL STORZ?</strong></h2> <p>Join KARL STORZ and be part of a team delivering cutting-edge medical technologies that directly impact patient care.
