We’re seeking an <strong>Employee Relations Manager</strong> to serve as our North America subject matter expert for employee relations—partnering closely with leaders, HR Business Partners, and Legal to navigate complex workplace matters and strengthen employee engagement.</p> <h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3> <p>As a trusted advisor, you’ll lead employee relations strategy and execution across KSNA, balancing compliance, empathy, and business impact.</p> <p><strong>Employee Relations &amp; Compliance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide expert guidance on performance management, corrective action, accommodations, and workplace concerns</li> <li>Interpret and apply federal and state employment laws (ADA, FMLA, CFRA, and beyond)</li> <li>Promote inclusive, unbiased practices aligned with KARL STORZ values</li> </ul> <p><strong>Workplace Investigations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead complex investigations involving harassment, discrimination, hostile work environment, and other concerns</li> <li>Conduct thorough, unbiased fact‑finding and document cases in the ER case management system</li> <li>Partner with leaders to ensure timely, appropriate outcomes</li> </ul> <p><strong>Coaching &amp; Manager Enablement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coach leaders at all levels on difficult conversations, performance management, and early issue resolution</li> <li>Design and deliver ER‑related training and workshops</li> </ul> <p><strong>Proactive Risk Mitigation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analyze ER trends to identify risks and root causes</li> <li>Partner with HRBPs to implement proactive solutions that improve engagement and minimize reactive work</li> </ul> <p><strong>Programs, Policy &amp; Data</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and improve ER programs, policies, and processes</li> <li>Own ER case management data, reporting insights and trends</li> <li>Leverage technology—including AI and Copilot—to enhance ER effectiveness</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You Bring</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>5+ years</strong> in Employee Relations or HR Generalist roles with significant ER ownership</li> <li><strong>3+ years</strong> leading complex investigations and fact‑finding interviews</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment law and ER best practices</li> <li>Experience with ER case management systems and data analysis</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field (Master’s preferred)</li> <li>Exceptional judgment, resilience, and communication skills</li> <li>Comfort partnering with and influencing senior leaders</li> <li>Willingness to travel as needed</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Why KARL STORZ</strong></h3> <p>You’ll have the opportunity to shape ER strategy for a large, complex organization while working with collaborative leaders who value ethical decision‑making, continuous improvement, and employee experience.</p> <p> </p> <p>#LI-CW1</p> </div>
