About this role
<p>This is an excellent opportunity to join our toolroom team in the newly created Tooling Technician role. Reporting to the Team Leader on your shift and working alongside Fitter Machinists/Toolroom Engineers you will carryout maintenance, cleaning and servicing of Injection Moulds to ensure the tools are operating to maximum capacity with minimum disruption to production.</p> <p> </p> <p>You will be responsible for</p> <p> </p> <div>• Tooling maintenance and servicing</div> <div>• Inspection and initial fault finding</div> <div>• Component replacement and repair.</div> <div>• Toolroom equipment upkeep</div> <div>• Supporting Fitter Machinists/Toolroom Engineers</div> <div>• Checking Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Cooling Systems</div> <p> </p> <p>To be considered for the role you will also need to be able to demonstrate that you:</p> <p> </p> <div>• Mechanical competency to repair and fit components</div> <div>• Have the ability to read mechanical drawings</div> <div>• Can carry out problem solving and fault finding</div> <div>• Have a general understanding of machine operations and understand hydraulic principles</div> <div>• Demonstrates a strong commitment to a safe working environment</div> <div>• Are a Team Player</div> <div>• Have a NVQ 2 Mechanical Engineering Qualification and have 2 years relevant working in an engineering or production environment. </div> <p> </p> <p>Working a 2 shift pattern 7:00 – 15:00 & 15:00 – 23:00 hours, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with the option to work Saturday mornings as contractual overtime.</p>
