<p>The Electrical and Instrumentation Journeyman / Industrial Electrical & Instrumentation Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the reliability and performance of electrical and instrumentation systems in a complex industrial setting. This is a secure, long-term position with no seasonal or cyclical layoffs and opportunities for rapid advancement based on skill development and performance.</p> <hr> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Troubleshoot, repair, and install industrial motors (AC/DC), including brush replacement</p> </li> <li> <p>Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)</p> </li> <li> <p>Perform branch circuit wiring and ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards</p> </li> <li> <p>Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, meggers, HART communicators, and calibrators</p> </li> <li> <p>Troubleshoot, program, and configure PLCs (experience with logic and ladder diagrams preferred)</p> </li> <li> <p>DCS (Distributed Control System) experience is a plus</p> </li> <li> <p>Work with discrete devices and instrumentation (smart and analog) for pressure, flow, temperature, and level control</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain and calibrate process valves and positioners</p> </li> <li> <p>Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>A 2-year technical degree in Industrial Controls, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, or a closely related field</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Strongly preferred</strong>: 1 or more years of hands-on experience working as an Electrician and/or Instrumentation Technician in an industrial environment</p> </li> <li> <p>Solid understanding of industrial electrical and instrumentation systems</p> </li> <li> <p>Proficiency in electrical safety standards and PPE usage</p> </li> <li> <p>Valid driver's license</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to work in physically demanding environments (standing, climbing, lifting, etc.)</p> </li> <li> <p>Willingness to work day shift (Monday–Friday) with future potential to transition to a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <p><strong>Pay Rate:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>$41.20/hr or $48.41/hr based on experience</p> </li> <li> <p>Progression opportunities up to $51.50/hr</p> </li> <li> <p>Advancement to top pay possible in as little as 2 years based on performance and skill development</p> </li> <li> <p>Stable employment – no cyclical or seasonal layoffs</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li> <p>Medical and Dental Insurance</p> </li> <li> <p>401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match</p> </li> <li> <p>2 to 6 Weeks Paid Vacation (based on verified prior experience)</p> </li> <li> <p>10 Paid Holidays + 2 Floating Holidays</p> </li> <li> <p>Tool Allowance</p> </li> <li>Eligible for Gainshare Program - quarterly discretionary payouts<br><strong><br></strong></li> <li>Fitness Reimbursement Program<br><br></li> <li>Free Access to Online Learning across a wide range of professional, technical, and personal development topics</li> </ul>
