<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"></H2> </div><div><p><strong>DRIVER - CLASS 2 HGV</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Hourly Rate: £19.40 - Job Type: Permanent</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Rail Gourmet (RG) </strong>is a proud part of the SSP Group and we are a leading provider of food, beverage and specialist solutions to the train industry, and offer a one stop shop solution – from logistics and supply chain; concept, marketing and retail, to menu and product, technology and on-board service.</p> <p> </p> <p>We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Driver Class 2</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Complete safe loading and unloading of vehicles, to ensure products are not damaged and are protected from tampering whilst in transit.</li> <li>Ensure that deliveries can be made safely and in accordance with the loading schedule.</li> <li>Check goods off with customer and obtain the required signature and print for sensitive documents.</li> <li>Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external staff.</li> <li>Drive the vehicle in a safe manner and comply with all Road Traffic Regulations.</li> <li>Comply with EU Driving Hours and the EU Working Time Directive.</li> <li>Complete daily checks, ensure vehicles are kept clean and tidy, comply with company fuel directives and report any issues or damage.</li> <li>Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure.</li> <li>Attend essential and Driver CPC training, in order to carry out the driver role.</li> <li>Adhere to all company policies and procedures (inc Dress Code, Performance and H+S).</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Essential requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Category C License</li> <li>Driver CPC</li> <li>Drivers Tachograph Card</li> <li>A good understanding of written and verbal English</li> <li>UK Driving licence (Max 3 penalty points, NO DD Convictions)</li> <li>Be able to work Shifts patterns on a 5 days out of 7</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Desirable requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous tail lift and refrigeration unit experience</li> <li>A good knowledge of the London road network</li> <li>Previous multidrop / collection experience</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Benefits include</strong>: Colleague discount card for SSP outlets on railway stations and airports.
