You ensure that the team delivers.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Description</b></H2> </div><div><p>As an R&D Manager, you will have to manage (people management) 2 Devteams of R&D Engineers, part of an Agile Release Train.</p> <p><em>People & Team Management :</em></p> <ul> <li>Coach and mentor team members on business and soft skills</li> <li>Help team members in reaching a high level of autonomy</li> <li>Ensure the team members are aware and adhere to Company values, processes and practices</li> <li>Be accountable for developing and training team members</li> <li>Be accountable for developing the budget plan, equipment, and infrastructure ordering for the teams</li> <li>Be accountable for recruitment</li> <li>Ensure no one person in the team is solely accountable for any critical task or activity</li> <li>With the contribution of external stakeholders, define yearly objectives, assess team members’ achievements</li> </ul> <p><em>Team(s) Coordination :</em></p> <ul> <li>Participate actively and contribute to transversal initiatives with the objective of bringing valuable improvements for the teams, the department, and the Company</li> <li>Together with peers, support and drive the department in his Continuous Improvement by establishing valuable improvements and processes</li> </ul> <p><em>Technical expertise :</em></p> <ul> <li>Support teams in defining the future-proof strategies that best match their objectives and constraints in coordination with the Architects</li> <li>Increase the technical expertise of the team on, e.g. managing technical debt, system performance, security, and maintainability</li> <li>Promote modern development practices in the team</li> <li>Ensure the different guidelines are correctly used and implemented (ex: UX, Coding…)</li> <li>Ensure the team stays up to date on industry news, technologies, and developments process</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Profile</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent)</li> <li>Experience in developing software</li> <li>Experience in C++ Software Development is an asset</li> <li>Experience in media transcoding & workflow is an asset</li> <li>Experience in People Management is an asset</li> <li>Capable of managing a team of engineers working in an Agile environment.</li> </ul> <p><em>Skills :</em></p> <ul> <li>Master the tools, technics, and methods of software development, including configuration management and continuous integration</li> <li>Open-minded and value teamwork</li> <li>Sense of the responsibilities</li> <li>Focus on quality, detail-minded, willing to take care of stakeholders' point of view</li> <li>Open for changes and continuous learning</li> <li>Willing to invest in knowledge of broadcasting solutions</li> <li>Show initiative, be curious</li> <li>Able to execute tasks autonomously and to request help whenever needed</li> <li>Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing & deadline-driven environment</li> <li>Result oriented and team player</li> <li>Good written and verbal communication skills, shares information actively</li> </ul> <p><em>Languages :</em></p> <ul> <li>Fluent in French and English</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Offer</b></H2> </div><div><p style="text-align:justify">You will benefit from working in a friendly, lively environment having ambitious commercial objectives.
