Acting as a trusted advisor, you will partner with leaders to embed compliance into day‑to‑day operations, enhance program effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys influencing change, working at a strategic level, and contributing to how governance evolves in a regulated environment.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise governance and compliance frameworks.</li> <li>Partner with business units to embed governance, compliance, and sustainability considerations into operations and initiatives.</li> <li>Oversee the corporate privacy program, providing guidance, education, and advisory support to stakeholders.</li> <li>Monitor regulatory developments, industry trends, and best practices and recommend program enhancements.</li> <li>Lead compliance risk assessments and support the development and execution of mitigation strategies.</li> <li>Establish and manage monitoring and reporting frameworks to assess program performance and effectiveness.</li> <li>Prepare and present compliance reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.</li> <li>Manage policy governance processes and support compliance activities related to regulatory requirements.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus a minimum of seven years of experience in governance, compliance, or privacy. <ul> <li>An equivalent experience may be considered.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience with data analytics is an asset. </li> <li>Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management principles, and compliance practices.</li> <li>Experience working in a regulated environment, with utility or energy experience considered an asset.</li> <li>Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus across diverse teams.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.</li> <li>Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and present to senior audiences.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Important Information:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Permanent, full-time role.</li> <li>Monday – Friday schedule.</li> <li>Hybrid role, with opportunity to work 2 days per week from home.</li> <li>Based out of our Calgary office location.</li> <li>This role will be moving to our Airdrie office location in 2027.</li> <li>Some light travel will be required for the role (<5%).</li> </ul><p><br> <strong>TO APPLY TO THIS POSITION:</strong> Please submit your resume via the button below: "Apply"</p> <p>We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those candidates to be considered for an interview will be contacted.</p> <p>If you receive an error message when applying, please contact the system administrator at: <strong>[email protected]</strong></p>
