You will be in the role to support magnetic designers in various aspects including simulation, data processing, testing report preparation, design tool programming. </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Duties and Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Build magnetic and thermal model</li> <li>Perform motor electromagnetic and thermal simulation.</li> <li>Perform basic motor thermal simulation in MotorCad</li> <li>Run basic structural analysis, support detailed analysis to structure team</li> <li>Engage in multi-physical motor design tool development-Programming in Matlab and Python</li> <li>Assist Magnetic core characterization on loss and B(H) curve</li> <li>Support to prepare test and validation report on performance and motor durability.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Education and Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><p>Master or PhD student in electrical engineering, preferred electrical machine and drive domain</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Skills and Competencies</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Basic knowledge on electrical motor components and functionality</li> <li>Strong programming skill in Matlab and Python</li> <li>Basic knowledge of cooling system principle</li> <li>Preference to have basic knowledge of magnetic and insulation materials.</li> <li>Good written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Strong learning ability and proactive</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Intership details</b></H2> </div><div><p>The internship is full-time during the fall term, five days per week, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Occasional remote work may be considered, depending on operational needs and at the intern’s request.<br>We offer flexible working hours, as well as a morning and evening shuttle service from the Longueuil metro station to facilitate commuting to the Boucherville site.<br>The hourly rate ranges from $24.00 to $27.75, depending on the candidate’s level of education.</p></div></div></div>
