This work involves developing key technologies to reduce cost, improve efficiency and performance, reduce packaging volume while simultaneously reducing implementation time to market. Potential candidates with a background and interest in the following fields are encouraged to apply.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Duties and Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities: </p> <p>• Lead a team of engineers and subject matter experts from initial concept creation through proof of concept (PoC) testing to <br>implementation of technology on Dana’s next e-Propulsion platforms <br>• Interface with product planning, sales, purchasing and engineering organizations to align on technology roadmap <br>• Provide final engineering approval amongst competing technology needs to concept down selection towards PoC development <br>• Deep understanding of virtual and physical loadcases required to support all attribute targets of technologies explored <br>• Manage virtual engineering needs and software in CAE and CFD supporting technology development <br>• Manage smaller test bench assets and test articles to achieve key data validation on technologies <br>• Plan and manage staff resources, capital and operational budgets needed to deliver technologies on-time <br>• Contribute to site management and collaborate closely with other site managers for prototyping and test completion <br>• Manage grants, subsidies, or other funds that support technology development projects regionally <br>• Lead project timelines to ensure clear communication of deliverables to upper management <br>• Manage activity of engineering service providers, component suppliers, etc. engaged to support development efforts <br>• Manage relevant university and collaborative partner projects to ensure on-time completion towards Dana’s technology goals <br>• Lead engineering team to follow Dana’s Technology Development Plan (TDP) cadence and reporting structure <br>• Identify competitive benchmarking needs and work in partnership with benchmarking organization to collect needed data <br>• Report semi-monthly to executive leadership on progress of technology development activities <br>• Champion symposium sessions to share learnings to cross-functional teams <br>• Attend and present at industry conferences on Dana’s behalf to showcase technology development <br>• Manage IP and promote IP protection and generation within the team </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Education and Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><p>Requirements: </p> <p>• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (or related discipline). <br>• 10+ years experience in detailed design of high voltage electric traction motor and inverter components and sub-systems <br>• 3+ years experience directly managing a team of engineers <br>• 3+ years of program management experience balancing parallel, complex tasks <br>• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams a plus <br>• Strong understanding of inverter and motor components, electromagnetics, traction motor topologies <br>• Ability to manage maturing projects while also supporting early concept ideas simultaneously <br>• Working level knowledge of subsystem/component manufacturing/assembly methods <br>• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of deliverables and lead resolution of issues <br>• Ability to adapt to change and pivot project selection, scope and timing as determined by business needs <br>• Active relationships with universities, consortiums, or industry partners a plus <br>• System level experience integrating technology components to realize system performance, efficiency gains a plus <br>• Must be a self-directed and motivated individual who is organized and able to accept multiple tasks and responsibilities <br>• Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner. <br>• Excellent written verbal, presentation, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills with ability to engage with cross<br>functional teams on a daily basis <br>• Ability to work on-site a minimum of (4) days per week <br>• Limited travel both domestically and internationally <br>• <span>Preference to communicate in both French and English languages</span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Skills and Competencies</b></H2> </div><div></div></div></div>
