Incorporate customer purchase orders into a realistic manufacturing plan that will insure delivery of product on a timely basis. <table style="height:645.0px;width:93%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tbody> <tr style="height:644.0px"> <td style="width:0%" valign="top"> SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: <ol> <li>Supervise employees and assign work to meet production schedules; provide shift-to-shift continuity.</li> <li>Enforce plant rules covered by labor contract; resolve labor problems.</li> <li>Maintain two-way communications between management and hourly employees.</li> <li>Enforce safety rules and oversee housekeeping. </li> <li>Meet predetermined annual goals in the area of labor efficiency, productivity improvement, cost reduction, scrap reduction, safety performance, and absenteeism.</li> <li>Schedule and acknowledge delivery dates on customer purchase orders while striving to meet customer requirements</li> <li>Monitor production capacities on a regular basis and communicate with management as required to insure sufficient capacities are available to manufacture scheduled product.</li> <li>Coordinate manning and overtime requirements to insure a flow of product to meet forecasts and customer delivery dates.</li> <li>Meet plant objectives for stock investment of work in process and finished goods.</li> <li>Participate in the progressive system improvement activities relative to production planning, and stock investment control.</li> <li>Coordinate the logistics and transportation of finished goods to meet customer delivery dates.</li> <li>Communicate with Federal Mogul Departments to establish shipping and packaging needs to meet customer requirements.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> <li>The person assigned to this job has the authority and responsibility for the tasked designated in the EMS (Environmental Management System) procedures and for the tasks described below.</li> </ol> <ul> <li style="list-style-type:none"> <ul> <li style="list-style-type:none"> <ul type="disc"> <li>Understanding and assuring conformance with the plant’s Environmental Policy as it relates to their job responsibilities.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> </ul> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities
