Our commitment to innovation drives us to create safer, lighter vehicles while minimizing energy consumption and environmental impact.</p> <p>The Senior Tooling Engineer has full responsibility for the control, quality, throughput and safety of the tool & die process for all three (3) shifts.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate Launch activities (design reviews, buyoff activities at die shops and home line). Ensuring all new tooling meets safety and throughput goals.</li> <li>Responsible for Engineering Change activities (quoting, outsourcing, design reviews, buyoffs and run offs at home line, keep tracker of engineering change activities).</li> <li>Continuous improvement leader for material saving, throughput activities, process improvements, quality improvements and other improvement plans.</li> <li>Work closely with Quality department and customers to improve build issues and quality scores.</li> <li>Trains tool & die with specific procedures (spotting, machining and engineering change procedures).</li> <li>Reviews departmental KPI’s and determines improvement objectives.</li> <li>Document and assess repairs made to improvement and engineering projects.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to safety rules and PPE.</li> <li>Participation in the Layered Process Audit schedule.</li> <li>Participation in the Internal ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Audit schedule (applies only to certified ISO 9001/IATF 16949 internal auditors).</li> <li>Participation and cooperation in answering questions and providing information for internal and external audits regarding or related to ISO 9001/IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and customer standards.</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>8+ years automotive tooling experience preferred.</li> <li>10+ years in tool & die, with a journeyman card required.</li> </ul></div></div></div>
