Specialist - Koppel, PA LOCATION: Koppel - Pennsylvania - USA DEPARTMENT: HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT Purpose: Is responsible for coordinating and supporting Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability (HESA) activities within the facility to ensure compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and continuous improvement objectives. Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Coordinate with Corporate HESA and site leadership to support implementation and continuous improvement of the HESA management system.</li> <li>Monitor hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.</li> <li>Support development and execution of annual HESA action plans, objectives, and reporting metrics.</li> <li>Ensure HESA procedures and standards are maintained, communicated, and effectively implemented.</li> <li>Support compliance with OSHA, environmental, and other applicable legal and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Participate in incident investigations, audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-up activities.</li> <li>Coordinate HESA meetings, awareness campaigns, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives.</li> <li>Assist with customer, contractor, and stakeholder HESA requirements and communications.</li> <li>Analyze trends, statistics, and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.</li> <li>Promote proper use of Company HESA systems, reporting tools, and procedures.</li> <li>Support leadership development, employee coaching, and a positive safety culture across operations.</li> </ul> Qualifications & Experience: <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in heavy industry, steel, metals, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Safety, HSE, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field preferred.</li> <li>Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and industrial risk management practices.</li> <li>Experience with incident investigations, audits, corrective actions, and safety management systems.</li> <li>Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 systems preferred.</li> <li>Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.</li> <li>Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Corporate teams.</li> </ul> Working Conditions: <ul> <li>Combination of office and shop floor presence within an active industrial environment.</li> <li>Regular interaction with operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and leadership teams.</li> <li>Significant time spent in operational areas supporting observations, audits, investigations, and employee engagement.</li> <li>Rare travel required for audits, training, or business support activities.</li> <li>Occasional after-hours support, emergency response, and on-call coverage as operational needs require.</li> <li>Must be able to work in industrial environments requiring PPE and exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving equipment.</li> </ul> Physical Requirements: <ul> <li>Ability to walk throughout industrial facilities and access elevated work areas.</li> <li>Ability to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear.</li> <li>Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.</li> </ul> If your experience and knowledge match our requirements, please apply Tenaris is an equal opportunity employer, valuing diversity in employment.
