Will develop and implement technical projects to improve products, processes, or technologies on a project basis.</span></span></span></span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:12.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Details/Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><p>1. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. <br>2. SME (Subject Matter Expert) with in-depth knowledge and technical proficiency in support of the widest range of engineering activities such as test, modification, fabrication, and assembly; including identifying potential improvement opportunities and proposing technical solutions to optimize products, processes, and/or equipment<br>3. Build complex prototypes, sub-assemblies, and prepare feasibility test units, samples; may include making material recommendations<br>4. Develop, procure, construct, evaluate and validate new equipment, tools, and fixtures. Perform operational tests and identify failure modes<br>5. Perform complex work using drawings, diagrams, written and verbal instructions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions<br>6. Collect, document, and analyze test data<br>7. Operate a wide range of lab equipment including set-up, clean-up, break-down, and re-assembly</p> <p>8. Train, coach, and guide lower-level employees on new procedures, assess work techniques, and provide feedback to engineers on procedures<br>9. Design and build simple fixtures, using sketches, CAD, etc.<br>10. Perform test method development and validation for equipment.<br>11. May create and modify drawings and procedures for fixtures, equipment, products, or processes<br>12. May initiate ECRs (Engineering Change Request)<br>13. Understanding of good documentation practices is required.<br>14. Perform other duties as assigned.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:12.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications/ Background Experiences</b></H2> </div><div><p><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span><span style="font-family:'CG Times (WN)', serif"><span style="font-family:'Arial', sans-serif">Associates Degree or technical degree/certificate with 12 years experience in R&D Lab and/or medical device experience required or a minimum 15 years related experience required.
