<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>This position is located in Kermit, TX as a member of Western Midstream’s Operations Health, Safety & Environmental Team. Position is a field-based role and will be responsible for the support and coordination of Health & Safety activities associated with our operations located at the Delaware Basin Field Operations.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Initiates and manages programs that support corporate and regional HSE goals</li> <li>Leads one (1) or more asset area HSE programs, policies, and compliance processes</li> <li>Assists in the development of HSE programs and identifies program improvement opportunities</li> <li>Ability to schedule and complete HSE inspections and compliance assessments and develop corrective action plans with internal stakeholders</li> <li>Responds to HSE incidents and utilizes incident management principles</li> <li>Assists in development of corrective action plan, oversees correction action activities</li> <li>Facilitates incident investigations</li> <li>Develops, plans, and delivers HSE trainings</li> <li>Participates in HSE Audits and assists with drafting corrective action plans according to findings</li> <li>Support emergency response drills taking an active or lead response team role</li> <li>Coordinates contractor project management including contractor selection and approvals, project budgeting and project tracking</li> <li>Partners with asset area management teams to develop HSE culture norms</li> <li>Coordinates/conducts hazard assessment by utilizing sampling equipment</li> <li>Drives approximately 30% of the time for a duration of up to multiple hours at a time to field locations/to the office</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Skills & Leadership</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Demonstrates WES Core Values</li> <li>Works well as a team member, sharing responsibility for task or objectives</li> <li>Has working knowledge of own discipline</li> <li>Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and provides regulatory interpretations and guidance to internal stakeholders</li> <li>Ability to utilize HSE management system</li> <li>Participates in team directed activities, and contributes ideas within own specialty</li> <li>Shows initiative by asking questions and by actively seeking to increase own knowledge and contributions</li> <li>Makes well-constructed written and verbal presentations to management</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p> <p>Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or 5 or more years of experience</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Licenses</strong></p> <p>Valid driver's license with no restriction that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Travel Requirements</strong></p> <p>The percentage of travel required for this position is 25%.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Work Schedule</strong></p> <p>This position has a hybrid schedule with Monday-Thursday being 9-hour days and 4 hours on Friday.
