About the role We are looking for a Permanent Full-Time RN and a Fixed-Term (1 Year) RN to join our Bunbury team! Step into a rewarding role that directly impacts life-changing donations. As a Registered Nurse, you will bring your fantastic customer-facing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service, while working together to ensure Australia’s supply of blood products. A day in the centre could see you: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Set up machines and collections equipment</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation</li> </ul> Our paid, flexible, self-paced training program strikes a balance between on-the-job practice and online classes to ensure you feel fully supported. You’ll be joining a fast-paced, donor-focused environment, so beyond a genuine passion for delivering an exceptional donor experience, you’ll need to be able to: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Occasionally lift between 9–22.7 kg</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Provide a warm, friendly service to our donors</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Apply your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing and holding current AHPRA registration </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Frequently stand, walk, and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Friday including early mornings and afternoons.</li> </ul> Please note: Travel to Perth CBD may be required during the training period.
