This individual will serve a key function in auditing staff&apos;s aptitude of field procedures, developing new and updating existing procedures, and providing QA/QC for field work product. In this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance Langan&apos;s existing field training program, train new environmental field staff, and provide remedial or specialized field training. </span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Job Responsibilities</span></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Maintain Langan’s existing dynamic staff training program, seek 360-degree input to assess the effectiveness of the training program, and modify the program periodically and as necessary to optimize outcome;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Audit field work through on-site observation, review of field notes, daily field reports and soil boring logs;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Create and maintain a positive field culture working with staff to view audits of their work as constructive learning tools;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Monitor overall field/data QA/QC;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Create/update NYC field standard operating procedures (SOPs);</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Be a member of Langan’s Environmental Discipline Lead (EDL) Standard/Consistency group;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Be a member of Langan’s Safety Group;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Maintain PPE inventory and conduct respirator fit tests;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Instruct staff and assist project teams in geologic and hydrogeologic data interpretation, including direct evaluation of: borehole logging data, lab analytical data, and head data;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Develop conceptual site models when requested and instruct staff on the basis of building conceptual site models;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Prepare and review health and safety plans;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Perform other duties as requested.</span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Qualifications</span></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Bachelor&apos;s in Geology or Engineering with a concentration in groundwater issues; MS preferred; </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">6+ years of leading field investigations and remediation oversight, established credibility in moving complex investigations forward that demonstrate critical thought and real time/in-situ data analysis; </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) licenses preferred; </span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Mechanical skills such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and welding are a plus;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Strong attention to detail;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Ability to multi-task effectively;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Ability to work well individually and within groups;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Strong written and verbal communication skills.</span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Langan provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives. The estimated range for this role is: $90,000 - $133,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm&apos;s annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.</span></span></p>
