This individual will serve a key function in providing business development and for managing environmental investigation and remediation projects in New Jersey. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with top industry leadership in a continuous learning environment.</span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li style=""><span style="">Concurrently manage multiple environmental investigation and remediation projects and clients; monitor and achieve project budgets, schedules, and project timelines;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Develop new clients and business opportunities; prepare proposals, develop additional work within existing projects and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Participate in contractual negotiations under the direction of Associate, Senior Associate or Principal;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Lead the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, and designs for projects;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering projects;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Apply standard practices and techniques to unusual situations or devise new approaches to problems;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Demonstrate competency in areas of supervision and project management and participate in internal and external project management training;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Provide technical guidance to projects and employees within own discipline; provide final technical review of calculations, analyses and project reports. Lead the development of strategies and designs for meeting client objectives and carrying out projects;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Develop existing and potential clients and attend business meetings;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Interact extensively and build strong relationships with client, contractor and subcontractor representatives; demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and responsiveness to client needs; </span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Manage, train and develop environmental staff; and</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Other duties as requested.</span></li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li style=""><span style="">Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">15+ years of related experience with environmental investigations, assessments, and remediation projects in New Jersey;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">LSRP license;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Expert-level knowledge and understanding of NJDEP Site Remediation regulations and guidance;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Proficient in environmental due diligence;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Prior remediation experience on fast-paced, multi-disciplinary brownfield redevelopment projects;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and technical analyses;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Proven seller-doer capable of developing new clients and business opportunities;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to multi-task effectively, manage multiple projects and clients, develop and manage project budgets, and effectively manage and coach staff;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Excellent written and verbal communication skills;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as projects require; and</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.</span></li> </ul></div></div></div><p style="text-align:justify"><span style=""><span style="">Langan provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives. The estimated range for this role is: $112,500 - $171,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.</span></span></p>
